Hello and Welcome
Hi
My name is Julie and I Love Chickens! I have 13 girls of my own, one point-of-lay, Peggy who is now seven (my old girl). Those that I’ve hatched include: Bernie, Freddie, Eddie and Georgie, all these girls are six. I also have Rebecca (named after my daughter, although not by me), she came from Omlet and is a Ginger Ranger. Ella came with Rebecca, she is a Miss Pepperpot. Unfortunately, their owner could no longer care for them; they have been with me for about a year (so relative youngsters, still). The remainder of my flock are all ex-battery hens, various ages. I started rehoming ex-battery hens (now known as ex-commercial hens) three years ago. These ‘little girls’ make perfect family pets, I cannot recommend them enough.
I also have two house-rabbits, Poppy and Daisy, who were rescued from a cage in a flat. They have full-run of my garden and they seem to amuse all the hens who come to stay.
Of course, the best place for your hens is in their own environment, but this isn’t always possible when you go on holiday. Any hens staying at ‘Fowlty Towers’ are treated as if they were part of my ever-increasing flock. They get all the love and affection I adorn on my girls, not mentioning the numerous treats, greens/fruit and fresh water twice a day.
If you think this is somewhere your hens would be happy whilst you are away, moving house, or just want a couple of days off from getting up at five, then ‘Fowlty Towers’ is the place.
If you have any questions/queries or would like to drop by to see for yourself how your hens will be cared for, then please get in touch.
Thanks for finding me and I look forward to meeting you and your hens in the not too distant future.
Julie
